Where Reconleap sensing, edge AI and mission management apply.

Industries

Security solutions by industry: a lot to watch, few people to watch it.

Every industry has sites that are too large, too remote or too busy to watch by eye. Reconleap security solutions by industry share one approach: add edge AI video analytics to the cameras you already run, rank what the system detects, and give the operator clear evidence to decide. This page shows where that approach fits, from critical infrastructure to mines, airfields and events.

Security solutions by industry: diagram of how Reconleap helps. From the challenge (a lot to watch, few people to watch it) through edge AI on existing cameras, event prioritization and operator-led decisions to the outcome (security that fits each industry).

Where Reconleap fits

Find security solutions by industry

Each card in this security solutions by industry guide shows the operational problem first, then what Reconleap adds, then the pages that go deeper.

01 · Critical infrastructure

Critical infrastructure security

The challenge. Critical infrastructure sites such as energy and utilities are spread out, partly unmanned and short on bandwidth, and one intrusion or drone overflight can matter.

How Reconleap helps

  • Edge analytics added to the cameras already in place, with no rip-and-replace
  • Detections instead of video streams, so low-bandwidth links are enough
  • Perimeter and facility security with verified alerts, plus airspace awareness for drones

02 · Industrial and logistics

Industrial and logistics security

The challenge. Facilities, yards and depots generate more video than a security team can review.

How Reconleap helps

  • Ranks detections from the cameras you already run
  • Event prioritization and clear evidence, so people see what matters
  • Local recording and review on site

03 · Remote sites

Remote site security

The challenge. Remote sites rarely have reliable power or connectivity, which makes continuous observation difficult.

How Reconleap helps

  • Solar and battery-powered observation with the ReconHop node
  • Local edge processing and low-bandwidth, detection-only modes
  • Portable, ruggedized deployment you can move as the site changes

04 · Airports and aviation

Aircraft parking and airspace security

The challenge. Parked aircraft, aprons and remote stands are hard to keep in view, and the airspace above them needs watching too.

How Reconleap helps

  • Camera observation around aircraft and aprons
  • Alert verification and event review for airside security teams
  • AI-assisted detection of drones and aerial objects, with PTZ tracking

05 · Mining

Mine shaft and underground monitoring

The challenge. Shafts, entrances and exclusion zones need constant visibility, and underground-access areas are sensitive.

How Reconleap helps

  • Video analytics on shafts, entrances and exclusion zones
  • In-shaft infrared inspection for underground-access areas
  • Operator verification and event review that supports, not replaces, safety procedures

06 · Events and public safety

Event security and search and rescue

The challenge. Temporary events and search operations need observation set up fast, and moved on just as fast.

How Reconleap helps

  • Flexible camera integration for temporary sites
  • Wide-area observation and fast review of what changed
  • One prioritized operational picture for coordination

07 · Hospitality and outdoor

Campground, land and wildlife monitoring

The challenge. Campgrounds and large outdoor properties are open and spread out, and privacy matters.

How Reconleap helps

  • Privacy-conscious monitoring of campground entrances, parking and facilities
  • Remote visibility of terrain and property for landowners
  • Wildlife observation with event clips and Day-in-a-Minute review

08 · Defense and security forces

Tactical observation and counter-drone detection

The challenge. Teams need observation stood up quickly, across many cameras, with the operator in control.

How Reconleap helps

  • ReconOps, a portable operator console for multi-camera observation, with hundreds deployed in the IDF
  • ReconOS sensor fusion across distributed sensors
  • Drone detection tested in field trials in Israel

In every industry

What stays the same wherever you deploy

Works with your cameras

Fixed and PTZ IP cameras you already run, plus the sensors you already have.

Edge AI at the site

Video analytics and mission workflows run locally, with local recording and review.

Detections, not streams

Low-bandwidth modes keep remote and constrained links useful.

The operator decides

AI recommends. The operator decides, with clear evidence for every alert.

Proof

Field-tested, not only specified

Security solutions by industry only matter if they work outside the lab. These are the results we can point to.

Hundreds deployed in the IDF

ReconOps, the portable operator console, is field-proven in demanding conditions.

Drone detection field test

On June 25, the ReconOS day channel demonstrated detection of a 5-inch drone against open sky at about 1,700 m.

Multi-vendor evaluation

In a July 27 evaluation run by Israeli defense authorities, ReconOS gave early detections and the report credits it with the longest warning time.

FAQ

Security solutions by industry: common questions

Which industries benefit from AI video analytics and edge AI security?

Any industry with sites that are too large, remote or busy to watch by eye. On this page we cover critical infrastructure, industrial and logistics sites, remote sites, airports and aviation, mining, events and public safety, hospitality and outdoor properties, and defense and security forces.

Do we need to replace our cameras?

No. Reconleap adds edge AI video analytics to the fixed and PTZ IP cameras you already run, and works with the sensors you already have.

How can remote sites be secured without grid power or a reliable network?

Use solar and battery-powered observation, such as the ReconHop node, with local processing and detection-only modes for constrained links. Event review can then happen on site.

Can camera-based systems detect drones near critical infrastructure?

In a June 25 field test, the ReconOS day channel with sub-pixel detection demonstrated detection of a small (5-inch) drone against open sky at about 1,700 m. Range depends on the camera, the background and the conditions, and a drone hidden behind trees cannot be seen by any optical sensor.

Who makes the final decision?

The operator. AI recommends, the operator decides, with clear evidence for every alert.
